Societies and Truths

Agricultural growth, formation of communities, technological advancements, organisation of work, and together, overcoming the difficulties of survival in the planet of birth. Humanity worked endlessly to make their duties less burdensome, their affairs more respected, and their life more fruitful and joyous. We realise how comfortable life has become, and how abundant and safe our environment is now than before. In the newspapers we find the difficulties of securing peace in regions such as the Gaza Strip and the restlessness in the Kremlin and Ukraine. The aspects of comfort, enjoyment, and luxury increase. Meanwhile, survival and security still varies.

It is painful to see how fallible the logic of this world is. The minority receives service, respect, and authority in return for their responsibilities to improve this world. However, what I see is against this logic. What I see is the pure abuse of service, respect, and authority by and for the minority. What is even further problematic is the reality that the majority under the leadership of the minority, uphold the minority. This is because people seek the so-called "truth" that satisfies their perspectives. They would turn a blind eye to any sort of injustice or abuse, if it is of benefit to them. In many aspects it is easy to find fault in the logical norms of today. Some say that political ideals brought forth by philosophers are impossible to achieve and are far from reality, yet their hopeful endeavours are altogether extremely ideal. The people say that the politicians are authoritarian and their tongue knows only to lie. Meanwhile they themselves elect as the leaders, only the politicians that seem able to satisfy their biased ideals and desires. Maybe the truth is not what people desire, and maybe the truth is just not needed any more.

The agricultural growth led to territorial expansion and invasion, the formation of communities into tribalism, and the technological advancements only to enslave the consumers into digital addiction for corporate profit and to create and develop weapons far more destructive than before. The dangers come as a responsibility for the peace and prosperity we gain in everyday life. However when people desire prosperity so much that they fail to acknowledge the responsibilities, the prosperity itself is laid bare, unprotected from the consequences. This negative and irresponsible attitude towards truth and reality must not be continued.

It is simple to see the world with the perspective you were born in. It is more difficult to see the truth, because the truth is always a step more complex than how you think about it. While some do not even care whether truth exists in this world, those who care must look in the perspectives of how people of different backgrounds and environments view the world. A vast difference of thoughts and priorities exist between them.

Beauty and its price, cruelty, develops together. If the children and their mothers have to experience the massacre and the bloodshed and the men have to go out to war to die for a cause that is far from truth, if that is the price for this much grandeur and comfort we have in this society rooting from a lucky birth, I'd rather not have it.

The appreciation shown by the people who were born with this wealth and opportunity cannot weigh against the amount of pain and agony of experiencing the cruelty of the world working directly on the people who were born without the opportunity. The apathetic and the careless altogether continue this reality, and the worse among them do not even value what they have extracted from this painful reality. When a world is divided and its inhabitants are unwilling to know the truth and to consider a threat to one as a threat to all, civilisations will bring down each other and further, they will bring down themselves. Even if it costs a period of time for people to give up their comfort, the logic of the world and the systems built upon them must be set right. Without the process, the world will only be a place where falsehood rots the societies we live in. One civilisation cannot last forever and requires reforms. Humanity also does.
